Q: If I change plans what will happen concerning my pre-existing condition?
A: As long as you change carriers and do not have a gap between policies you need not worry. If there is a gap in covergage, you might not be covered for up to 11 months. Remember, a pre-existing condition is defined as anything you have been treated for in the last 6 months.

Q: Which is the best insurance carrier out there?
A: The best carrier for you is the one that has your doctors in the network because all plans have their own network of doctors and hospitals. If you stay in the network all you will have to pay is the co-pays defined in your plan and will not have to worry about what the doctors charge.
Q: In New York, can I be denied coverage for having a particular health condition?
A: No. As a broker we are not allowed to ask about your health.
Q: Prices keep going up, do you see an end in sight?
A: Prices have increased at a steady 10-12% every year. We track pricing for all our carriers so that when your policy is up for renewal we can recommend the carrier with the best pricing for your service range.
Q: Is an HSA (Health Savings Account) right for me?
A: HSA's are proving to be more popular as prices keep rising. We place people into HSA's who go to the doctor rarely and are tired of paying these high premiums. HSA's are not for everyone though. The come with a very high deductable and you will have to be prepared to pay out of pocket anywhere from $1,100 to $5,000 to cover the deductable.
